FMOS News Service

In effort to better communicate important information to FireMon customers, FMOS v9.0 includes a new utility for reading news items. These news items are published by FireMon and can target specific deployment types, so they will only be shown to relevant users.

FMOS can automatically check for new items periodically and display a list of unread items to users when they log in to the FMOS command line (e.g. SSH). To read news items, use the fmos news read command or enable to show news at log on.

The FMOS Control Panel can also display these messages, for those administrators who do not use the command-line interface.

RSS Feed

The User Center has an RSS feed available for Security Intelligence Platform v9 releases and documentation. If you would like to subscribe to this feed, you can find it on the Downloads page. Please note that it will not interfere or replace the existing v8-specific RSS feed. If you have licenses for both v8 and v9, please subscribe to both RSS feeds to guarantee you receive the most current notifications.
